Who is responsible

Here & Hide is operated by HERE & HIDE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17472265.

HERE & HIDE LTD is the controller for the personal information we use to run our website, manage launch notifications, respond to enquiries and serve our customers.

What we collect and where it comes from

• Launch signups: your email address, consent record and any product or colour interest you choose to share.
• Enquiries: your name, email address, message and any other information you provide.
• Website use: IP address, browser and device details, page requests, security information and cookie preferences, collected through our hosting and storefront services.
• When purchasing opens: contact, billing and delivery details, items ordered, payment status, transaction references, correspondence and return records needed to fulfil your order.

We receive information directly from you and through our service providers, including Shopify and, when used, payment and delivery providers. We do not ask you to send full card details or sensitive personal information through an enquiry.

Why we use it

• Launch emails: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Answering pre-purchase questions and fulfilling an order: steps you request before entering a contract or performance of that contract.
• General enquiries, security and preventing misuse: our legitimate interests in running a secure website and providing customer support, balanced against your rights.
• Required business records and compliance: our legal obligations.
• Optional analytics or marketing technologies: consent where required, as described in our Cookies policy.

Providing an email address is necessary to receive a launch notification. You can browse without joining the list. When purchasing opens, we need the information necessary to process and deliver an order.

Your email choices

We use launch-signup information for the launch communications you request. We do not treat a general enquiry as permission to send marketing. You can unsubscribe through an email’s unsubscribe link or by writing to support@hereandhide.com. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Service messages about an enquiry or an order are separate from promotional emails. We retain a limited suppression record when needed to respect an unsubscribe.

Who receives information

Shopify provides our storefront and customer-signup services. Hosting, email and technical service providers process information needed to operate the website and handle correspondence. When you purchase, the selected payment provider and delivery carrier receive the details needed to process payment and deliver your order. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to another brand’s marketing list.

Shopify and external services

Shopify processes information on our behalf to operate the store. It may also act independently for its own consumer services, such as Shop or Shop Pay if you choose to use them. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and visit the Shopify Privacy Portal for those services.

Our website and launch-signup forms are hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes technical request information to deliver and secure pages and forms. Enquiries submitted through our contact forms are delivered through Shopify and our mailbox provider. External sites have their own privacy arrangements.

International transfers

Our service providers, including Shopify, may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-transfer restrictions apply, transfers must use an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards such as approved contractual terms with the UK protections required. You can contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. Shopify describes its arrangements in its Data Processing Addendum.

How long we keep information

We keep launch-list data while it is needed to deliver the launch communications you requested, unless you unsubscribe sooner. After that purpose ends, we delete or anonymise it unless you separately consent to ongoing updates or we have another lawful reason to retain a limited record.

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to answer and resolve the matter and any related complaint. Once sales begin, order and financial records are retained for the applicable accounting, tax and legal-claims periods. Security and technical logs are retained according to their security purpose and the provider’s service arrangements. We consider the purpose, applicable legal duties and any active dispute when deciding retention; information is not retained indefinitely merely because it was collected.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Email support@hereandhide.com to exercise your rights. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension applies, we will explain it. These rights are subject to legal exceptions.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern.

Children, security and updates

Our launch communications are intended for adults. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us so we can consider deletion.

We use appropriate safeguards for the information we handle, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
